What Causes Burning Sensation On The Skin While On Levofloxacin?

i am taking levofloxacin and think I have an allergic reaction. I could not sleep last night and had a burning all over my flesh. I had night mares this morning and felt like big insects as big as birds were after me. I had an antiobiotic shot and took only 1 pill about an hour after my shot. I am better right now. the nurse practioner said I have an infection. I had walking pneumonia about spring break time. I took another pill about an hour ago.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to an allergic reaction to Levofloxacine. I suggest using antihistamines such as Cetirizine to relieve the symptoms.
If the symptoms continue,I suggest to consult your doctor for an alternative medication.

Hope my answer was helpful. If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Regards,
