What Causes Burning Sensation On The Tongue While Suffering From Sjogren's Syndrome?

I have sjogren syndrome. How worried should I be. I always have burning of my tongue. I was diagnosed with hot tongue syndrome. What can I do. My tongue burns all the time. Sometimes I have burning all over esp around my abdomen and my brain. Any answers. Can any of this be categorized into one problem. I also have reflex sympathetic dystrophy. Help. Along with this I have a pain pump for chronic pain syndrome. I am in misery.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain you seems to be suffering from Burning tongue/mouth syndrome is a condition in which there is burning sensation inside mouth and can also be associated with a scalded feeling and can also experience numbing sensation..
As you have Sjogren's syndrome it seems to be due to dry mouth that is a classical feature of Sjogren's Syndrome..
Burning around brain and abdomen is not commonly seen in case of Sjogren's syndrome therefore you should consult a Medicine expert and get evaluated as it can be due to nerve related problem or neuropathy....
For burning mouth you can start gargling with a numbing mouthwash containing Lignocaine..
Take anti inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen..
Avoid spicy foods and take a soft bland diet..
Suck ice pops..
