What Causes Burning Sensation On Vaginal Lips Post Intercourse?
HI. Me and my boyfriend were perfectly fine durring sex . Right after we were done the inside of my vagina lips started burning . I runned it over with some cold water . It was fine until I went to the bathroom . And when I urinated it was burning my vagina lips again. What is this and is there any way I can be helped ??
The burning immediately after intercourse indicates vaginal erosion or abrasions from the penetrative sex most likely. My guidelines at present for better recovery: - Ice application over vagina 3 - 4 times a day - Vaginal hygiene care - Avoid hair trimming till recovery - No further sex till no complains of vaginal burning - Analgesic as ibuprofen after meals - Plenty of liquids for hydration maintenance
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
