What Causes Burning Sensation Throughout Body In An Elderly Person?

My mom is complaining of an internal burning sensation throughout her body (from chest to her feet ). She has experienced it periodically since having back surgery a few years ago. She doesn t have the language to describe it Ina way that I understand but says it s an interanal heat ( not hot flashes ) that is not really painful just hot . She believes there s something touching a nerve. Any clue what could be going on with her??

it can be either of two problem. may be neurological related to her back surgery or hormonal problem similar to menopause. MRI lumbosacral spine can be taken and gynecologist may be consulted for analysis of hormonal level. treatment may be recomanded after getting the investigation result.
