HI , thanks for using healthcare magic

It is possible that the burning sensation is related to abnormal function of the nerves.
This is called neuropathy.

It maybe temporary or permanent and there are different possible causes.

Some of the more common causes are: (1) trauma to the nerves in the area, this can occur from direct trauma , arthritis etc

(2)diabetes

(3)vitamin b12 or folate deficiency

(4)low levels of vitamin b6

(5)thyroid disease

(6)exposure to toxins

(7)liver or kidney disease

(8)side effect of medication

(9)idiopathic- sometimes the cause is not known

To find the exact cause, your doctor would take a history of this symptom and any related conditions then examine you.
Blood tests (vitamin levels, screening of thyroid disease/diabetes, checking liver and kidney function)

There are medications that can help with nerve related symptoms and additional treatment would be directed towards the specific cause.

I hope this helps
