ENT Specialist 's  Response
in my opinion this smell may be due to atrophic rhinitis, which have many reasons. headache may be due to frontal sinusitis, or neuralgia leading to neck pain simultaneously. I would recommend you to take painkillers with pregabalin 75mg. for olfactory problem I would recommend you to have a good check up by an ENT specialist nearby.
