Made a pasta sauce from scrapings we gathered from a whole wild caught salmon which had been in the freezer for a while. It was well sautéed with onions, garlic, and sweet bell peppers and spices. Wife and I both began burping up the taste of the meal several hours after ingestion (the salmon bits had cooked up with an unusually strong fishy smell, but I’d masked it pretty well with spices and liquid smoke), and both of us had bowel movements prior to bedtime. I’ve since awakened to a second small BM and some burping (took a Tums tablet), and now I’m a bit flushed in the face and inordinately warm with a slightly distended belly. Food poisoning? Or what?
