What Causes Buzzing And Whistling Sounds In Ear?

I have tinnitus and some hearing loss and normally get my ears checked annually. The doctor normally cleans the wax out of my ears at that time. Recently I have been experience more buzzing and whistling sounds in my ear and wondered if this could be caused by was buil up. I am not sure if i should go to a clinic and have them cleared or wait until my annual appointment in April
