What Causes Buzzing Sound In Ear After Tympanoplasty?

What causes buzzing sound in ear after tympanoplasty? I read this post and wondered, if cartilage was used in my tympanoplasty surgery, and that is what is causing my tinnitus, what can be done about it? My dr did say something about the graph being thicker in one spot. I also have worse hearing than before the surgery, which was in April. I m just really discouraged by the results and it actually depresses me.

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Tinnitus after ear surgery, especially in the initial stages, could be caused by an irritation of the inner ear, and this is harmless and usually settles after a few days.
If both tinnitus and worsening of the hearing is there, the problem could be more serious and indicate an irreversible hearing loss.
Get a pure tone audiogram done and seek help from your doctor. Meanwhile, avoid exposure to loud sounds, mobile phone and music headsets.
