What Causes Calf Muscle Pain And Difficulty In Walking?

Hello , since monday morning I woke up and my calf muscle was hurting , now its really painful to walk and feels like the pain is straight up and my calf and upto behind my knee yet I can't feel any muscle knots when I've tried to rub it and it seems to be getting worse , do you have any clues as to what might be? Thanks
