What Causes Cheek Pain, Throat Lump With A Sore And Pus?
Hi, just yesterday I woke up and thought that I had bit my check while sleeping, as the day went by it only got wrose by the nightfall I could not take the pain and felt like a small ball had devoped in my thort. I have a ball inside my mouth where I thought I bit myself. It looks like a sore with pus. Could this just be a bad mouth sore? Strep? Maybe a cyst? I have no idea how to cure such a thing. It hurt to sollow, eat, even eat.
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns...
As per your complain it does not look like a mouth sore or a cyst but it looks like problem associated with wisdom tooth.. It seems like Pericoronitis in which the gum flap over the wisdom tooth gets inflamed and there is formation of pus and all this occurs secondary to infection.. The feeling of lump in throat is due to inflammation in throat due to the inflamed gum flap and lump inside mouth is due to abscess formation.. You should consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and he can advise you to get an x ray done to rule out the cause and treatment can be done accordingly.. As of now you can take antibiotics like Augmentin and painkillers like Ibuprofen and also do warm saline gargles..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
