What Causes Chest Congestion, dizziness And Breathlessness?

Hello! I have been diagnosed with PSVT. I had my annual stress test yesterday. It didn t go well... meaning I nearly passed out on the treadmill. I am 51, female, and have never experienced the out of breath and dizziness like I did yesterday. Afterward, I had fairly major chest congestion and coughing....and I am still congested today. Can you give me an idea as to what may be causing the congestion?

Thanks for your question on HCM.
In my opinion you are having congestive heart failure (CCF) mostly because of following reasons.
1. You are patient of PSVT (paroxysmal supra ventricular tachycardia).
2. Your symptoms like breathlessness, congestion, coughing.
3. Poor tread mill test.
So better to consult cardiologist and get done
1. ECG
2. 2d echo
3. Coronary angiography.
You might be having coronary artery disease too. This causes heart failure. So pumping of heart is reduced. So back pressure causes fluid accumulation in dependent part of body like lower limbs, abdomen and lungs. In lungs this will cause congestion and known as pulmonary edema.
So better to rule out cardiac cause first for your symptoms.
So consult cardiologist and discuss all these.
