What Causes Chest Discomfort And Fast Heartbeat While Laying?

I have uneasiness in the chest since more than one month. My heart beatings are fast when I sleep on bed. Some there is a catch in my ribs. Please suggest me what may be the cause. I am also taking tablets for acidity and gas from one week. I am 45yrs female. 20 days back my cholestoral was one point high, and sugar is at higher end in the range.

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

I passed carefully through your question and would explain that your symptoms could be related to acid reflux.

For this reason, I recommend performing a fibrogastroscopy in order to investigate this possible issue.

A 24-48 hours ECG monitoring would help examine your heart rhythm trends and exclude possible cardiac arrhythmia.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka,
Cardiologist
