What Causes Chest Infection?

I have been treated for a chest infectioin for a month now with antiboitics and steroids. I am still feeling so so sick with a high temp. i have a sharp pain in my chest. What sould I do? I was with the doctor yesterday and he said that my lungs where not that bad. I have asthma but I do not remember feeling this sick for so long before. Thanks . Regards Brenda

Hi welcome to HCM....

Noted you have chest pain...and known case for asthma......

So you might have repeated bronchoconstriction by asthma that is allergic response....

You are treated with antibiotic for infection..
Now your asthma might need maintainance inhaler by formetetol plus budesonide low dose inhaler....

Asthma like allergic condition here is cause for chest pain...

If needed chest x ray and PFT done....

If dyspnea severe nebulization can be given..
