Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
It appears that recently after going to gym (2-4 Weeks{2-3/wk}), that my upper right chest is sore; however, the last two times that this has happened- the x-rays ,showed no damage, muscle strain. Now during this time I noticed me coughing up a lot of Phlegm. Last time I got rid of it was by taking Amoxicillin that I had from a previous prescription. My Gym workout is really simple Cardio (treadmill) and then the sauna.
Cannot say in your particular case without an exam. A fit person who has soreness that is reproducible by pressing on an area is quite unlikely to have heart disease as the cause. Internal issues such as lung though, can usually be differentiated from external ones by pressing. Lung pain would often have painful cough along with it.
