What Causes Chest Pain After Taking Beer?

Hello Doctor,

Whenever i take a glass of Beer (once in a week or so), i start getting pains on my right side of below chest location. When i eat something the pain comes down a bit, Ocid20mg capsules also releases me of this pain. What should i do?

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Beer causes gastritis and this can cause chest pain.
Your pain is also reduced by antacid (ocid - omeprazole). So alcohol induced gastritis is the cause for your chest pain.
So better to avoid alcohol in future.
Avoid stress and tension. Avoid hot and spicy food. Avoid junk food.
Avoid large meals, instead take frequent small meals.
Take antacid (omeprazole) tablet on empty stomach.
Don't worry, you will be alright with all these.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
