What Causes Chest Pain Along With Bruised Ribs Despite Taking Antibiotics?
Hi, I have recently had a flu. But last week my chest started to hurt. My ribs feel bruised, it s painful to move, breath, lift. More painful over night, and in the morning. I have had a course of antibiotics this week, but that s not touched it. I m worried it might be serious and would like some advice please.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have chest pain along with bruised ribs despite taking antibiotics , there are possible chances of injury to ribs, contusions and bruises. Sometimes the symptoms can occur due to acid reflux also .I would suggest you to take it in a serious way. You should visit Pulmonologist once and get it examined. You should get X-ray chest done along with pulmonary function tests to find out exact level and extent of infection. You should take painkiller Ibuprofen along with cough expectorants. Avoid any cold, hot and spicy food and take diet rich in multivitamins. You should take steam inhalation as well.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
