My GP put me on adco restic5/50 mg, and the dr also increased my cholesterol tables from 20mg to 40mg i m taking it now for two weeks as by blood pressure was high and I had a lot of water and swollen feet. Since taking the tablets I lost about 4 kg I presume its only water, but now I m feeling tired getting cramps it feels like if my hart rate is rising and I m having a pain in my chest, my eyes is also blurry. Please tell me what to do must I go back to my GP.
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I have read your description and understand your concern. Cholesterol lowering drugs, namely statins, has a common side effect of experiencing muscle cramps. It appears that you are experiencing symptoms due to increase in the medications to lower cholesterol levels. Hence, you need to consult your doctor for evaluation and alteration in the dose or medications as necessary. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
