What Causes Chest Pain Along With Palpitations And Breathing Difficulty?

I went to the ER with chest pain, difficulty taking deep breaths, and the feeling of rapid heartbeats. They took a chest x-ray, ekg, heart monitored me, took my blood pressure, pulse, blood. When all the results came back the doctors said it was not cardio. They sent me home and told me that I have pleurisy but the issue is I am having discomfort in my back and left am. Is this part of pleurisy? I am in actual fear of having a heart attack. I am 30 years old and just quit smoking a month ago. The only medicine I am on is Chantix which is 1 mg 2x s a day. Could it be the Chantix making me feel this way? Thank you.

I have reviewed your query and here are my thoughts.

Chantix is Varenicline and a prescription medications to stop smoking.
Your symptoms are surely suggestive of heart attack as you have mentioned like chest pain, palpitations and difficulty in breathing.
But since the cardiac check up is normal we have to look for other causes too.
Chantix can cause such symptoms.
Withdrawal also can cause same.
Stress and anxiety are among other reasons and since your Doctor has already said cardiac to be normal.
But told you about pleurisy, You need a proper CT scan of chest and other investigations to know the cause and get treated accordingly.
