What Causes Chest Pain And Dizziness While Running?
HI my name is Hayley, and I ve been having chest pains while runnning. I have asthma but I also have symptoms like dizziness, hot flashes, sudden quickening in my heart rate, and I ve already had an EKG and stress test taken with no results for taking any action. Any idea what my symptoms are from?
It is good to know that your EKG & Stress tests reports are normal. Get your Lipid profile done to rule out any developing CAD. Since you have a history of Asthma, you are suggested to get physically examined by a GP.
Get Chest X-Ray done to rule out COPD & other chronic respiratory issues. Your treating GP will ask you to do the required Imaging tests (CT, MRI), swab & sputum tests, CBC & Urinalysis.
COPD & respiratory diseases cause chest pain, dizziness due to shortness of breath (asthma). Left neglected it can cause chest tightness, pain & discomfort along with dizziness.
Get assessed for the pathology causing the discomfort. Your treatment will be done according to the severity of your symptoms & pathology detected.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
