General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I feel the problem is due to the excessive dosage of pain medicine over the last few hours (probably on empty stomach).

This has caused increased acidity in her stomach causing burning she has in her upper abdomen and chest (simulating to heartburn).

Give her a big cup of ice cream or cold milk. She has to take it in small sips. After the Give her two tabs of Gelusil MPs to suck & a 300mg pill of Ranitidin to drink.

Let her eat only bang diet in small servings. If she is not relieved a bit, she needs injectable. Take her you her family doctor OR gastroenterologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
