What Causes Chest Pain And Shortness Of Breath In A Heart Patient?

My neighbor doesn t have internet. She had two stents put in 1 1/2 years ago. She is female and 72 years old. She passed a recent stress test, blood work, and her angiogram (had last week) was fine. She states she is still having occasional chest pain, fatigue, and shortness of breath. She stated it wasn t her heart. Is there something else she could be having that match her symptoms? She has never smoked and only has occasional glass of wine. Thanks!

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The angiogram report was normal as mentioned in history. So cardiac cause seems less likely. However, some respiratory cause like chronic bronchitis can be possible.

So I suggest you investigate with digital chest x-ray and spirometry for further work up.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
