What Causes Chest Pain And Tightness?

Hello. I have been having chest pains lately. My chest feels right and I feel like I need to take a deep breath to relieve the pain. When I try to inhale deeply, I cannot catch my breath so I have to take short fast breaths before the long one. But then it hurts.

Welcome to Health Care Magic. Thank you for posting your query.
I can understand your query.

In any case of chest pain , in the first place an Electrocardiogram(ECG) should be done to rule out acute myocardial infarction(AMi) . There are many other causes like myocardial ischaemia(Low blood flow to heart) , gastritis, peptic ulcer disease, inflammation of covering of heart(pericarditis) and many other.

Shortness of breath can be due to cardiac, lung pathology or psychological.

I would suggest you to get an ECG done immediately.

I would also suggest you to visit a clinician. He/she can examine you and correlate clinically.

Do not worry. Follow these steps.

Post any other question. We will be happy to help.
Have a nice day. Regards.
