What Causes Chest Pain And Urge To Burp?

Hi, I believe that I have Acid Reflux I also have COPD and Angina!So I always have the urge to burp when I go to Bed I have the most intense chestpain it wakes me up it goes in throat and I get scared I don t know what to do! I start taking something for Heartburn, if that don t work I do my inhaler,if that don,t work I take a Nitro and that is the scary part that usually helps! I really don t think it s my heart so why would a nitro help?

It is possible that you may spasm (contraction) of the esophagus.

This is a cause of chest pain and is also possibly contributing to your reflux though it is also possible to have both.
Nitrates can relax muscles, so it would relax the esophagus and relieve the pain.
