General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
The pain I feel is quite characteristic for angina which is a short lasting heart attack. It can be either an exertional or a vasospastic type. Exertional means when you do some high intensity work like climbing stairs you get pain. Vasospastic is conditon where the blodd vessels supplying your heart constricts when they are supposed to dilate.
I would suggest you to go back and have a stress test done to eliminate angina. Your physician might even put you on nitrates to be used sublingually empirically. I advise to return for a reevaluation.
