What Causes Chest Pain Despite Taking Diazepam And Aspirin For Mitral Valve Prolapse?

The night before last I was having chest pains and my heart was jumping around like crazy. Since I have a history of panic attacks, I dismissed it and took a diazapam. But it continued until I finally fell asleep. But it continued the next day for a few hours. I took a couple aspirins. I have a mitral valve prolapse. My chest has this burning and aching still. General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Consult a cardiologist and get evaluated. An ECG is required to rule out possible causes like angina. As of now, you can take drugs like Tramadol for pain relief.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Wishing you all the best. Thanks.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
