General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I understand your concern.

Workout requires energy and healthy heart to face it without any problem.
If chest pain has started recently since a few months back, then, this is a ringing bell for you to check your heart.

It could be muscular skeletal due to perhaps over-strenuous exercises you might do.
However, we want to make sure your heart is not suffering. So, a complete cardiac check up should be run as soon as possible:
- ECG
- echocardiogram
- stress test
- chest X-ray

For the moment, I advise to stop workouts and consult with cardiologist immediately.

Hope this helps.
