Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I was born with wolfe parkinson white syndrome and had the corrective ablasion surgery several years ago. Recently I was having chest pain and went back to the cariologist and they conductred a 24 hour heart monitor, a stress test and an ultr sound of my heart. THey told me that everything was normal, but that the leaflets on my heart were slightly thickend. I was not sure what this meant and failed to ask. They told me that this was common with age. I am only 27 years old. Is this something that I should be concerned about?
If all the tests were normal then there is nothing to worry about. Probably it could be muscle tenderness or costochondritis. Just give some hot fomentation and take some painkillers and you will be fine.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhanu Partap, Cardiologist
