General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

In my daily practice the patients with asthma does not have chest pain. The major symptom of asthma is dyspnea, or difficulty while breathing. Said that, I agree with your doctor that the pain can be a muscular chest strain. I recommend to use antii-nflammatory medication and warm compresses for local application.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
