What Causes Chest Pain On The Left Side?

I often get left sided chest pain if I go for a long period of time without eating. The pain is sharp and seems to affect the area of my heart and move superficial to my breast and nipple. This only happens if I do not eat, but it seems to happen every time I go 6-7 hours without eating. What could be causing this?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Sharp chest pain are generally not related to the heart. Heart pains are mostly like chest tightness or heaviness.
Being sharp pain it very likely is muscular in nature.
It is recommended to eat regularly though as this protects your stomach from acids and reduce chest pains from acid reflux.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
