hi sir/mam,first of all kudos for abstaining smoking successfully.i really appreciate your strong will.your pain is mostly of pleural origin that means lungs are covered by a membrane called pleura, whose inflammation is called plerisy.pleurisy causes pain when coughing, sneezing.causes are tuberculosis, pneumonia, pneumoconiosis(occupational lung diseases).usually it is associated with cough either dry or productive.only with a chest x ray and detailed chest examination,we can arrive at a diagnosis.one more thing is cessation of smoking is not the cause of your symptoms.so,please have your chest x ray done and sputum examination if any productive cough.hope you got clarified.any other queries, please dont hesitate to write.i'm always ready to attend.thank you.take care.bye.
