Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Greetings, my wife experienced a pain in her chest that travelled to her jaw/ear. She described it as tightening. Checking her blood pressure shows 170/110. The pain was a one time event, she is not experiencing it now. She has been relaxing since, her blood pressure is now 154/91. We plan on seeing a Dr, the question is, is this worthy to go to the ER tonight?
Is she under any medications? Did she experience any chest discomfort and arm pain ever? Is she diabetic or hypertensive? As of now, I suggest you take telmisartan OD (once daily), and it's better you can take an ECG and refer a physician.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Indhu Priyadharshini
