About a month or so ago, I had a sinus infection and bronchitis. After two rounds of antibiotics, I regained most of my normal health about 2 weeks ago. For the past week, I have experienced pain upon taking anything more than a shallow breath, as well as sneezing, coughing, or hiccupping. The pain is like an intense cramping feeling that really hurts. I have no fever and my cough is light, from post-nasal drip from seasonal allergies. I don t sense that it is from residual coughing from my bronchitis bout, as that pretty much cleared up prior to the start of this. I have a physical scheduled in 5 days, but I m not seeing that the pain from expanding my lungs in the ways above is getting better. Advil helps, but it doesn t make a dramatic change. Just curious as to what could bring this on. I should add that it s location is just under my right breast in the front and back side of me (chest & back).
