What Causes Chest Pain Upon Mild Exertion?

I am waiting on a call back but thought I'd try here. A few months ago I noticed when I get upset and raise my voice at my kids my throat would hurt as well s my chest. A few weeks or so ago my throat would feel like I burned it and then my chest would become uncomfortable. Finally this week my throat feels better but anytime I get stressed, exert myself or activity my chest starts to hurt again. I exercise regularly and on Sat I did lift weights for chest. So now my chest is really sore and hard to determine if my pain is getting wore or not. When I lay down and rest it seems to help a bit. Of course Google says it could be an angina?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi welcome to health care magic......

First if your chest pain increased on exertion than yes ischemic heart disease has to be ruled out ...(ex.Angina)

So first investigate with ....
1.Blood pressure measurement
2.EKG
3.Only if needed ECHO or ANgiography like investigation

If no cardiac cause there than stress induce panic attack or muscular strain can be there ...
For which simple analgesic can be given along with warm compress ....
Avoid stress ...

I would also like to suggest you for physical examination by auscultation ,pulse etc...

Best regards:
Dr.Parth
