Pulmonologist 's  Response
Thanks for your question on HCM.
I can understand your situation and problem.
In my opinion your chest pain is related to smoking only.
We need to first rule out early bronchitis in you.
Because early bronchitis can cause similar kind of chest pain on deep breathing and smoking.
So consult pulmonologist and get done PFT (pulmonary function test) to rule out bronchitis.
Your chest pain after meals can be due to GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease). Smoking is the biggest risk factor for GERD. It is due to laxity of gastroesophageal sphincter.
Because of this the acid of the stomach tends to come up in the esophagus and cause the symptoms.
So in your case first priority should be given to smoking cessation. It is not a good habit. So better to quit as soon as possible.
And consult pulmonologist and discuss all these, start appropriate treatment.
