What Causes Chest Pain While Moving And Inhaling?

Hello. Today I woke up with chest pain. It s located exactly to the right off the center The area of sensation is approximately 6 cm. Pain gets worse with movement and especially inhailing. Pain doesn t get worse with exertion. I have had episodes like this 1 or 2 times before but back then pain dissapeared within short time, and now it persists for almost 4 hours. It s not really severe and doesn t seem life treatening but really uncomfortable. I m 21 years old. Don t smoke, don t drink alcohol or cofee/tea at all.

Thanks for your question on HCM.
I can understand your situation and problem.
By your history and description, I think you are mostly having muscular pain.
But better to rule out pleurisy (inflammation of pleura) as this can also cause chest pain on inhalation.
So get done chest x ray to rule out pleurisy. If chest x ray is normal then no need to worry.
You are having mostly muscular pain.
So better to follow these steps for symptomatic relief.
1. Avoid heavyweight lifting and strenuous exercise.
2. Avoid painful movements and difficult postures in sleep.
3. Start painkiller and muscle relaxant.
4. Apply warm water pad on affected site.
Don't worry, you will be alright.
