hi im 26 years old female, currently experiencing chest pain when i swallow, i feel this for 1 week..my doctor gave me medication (ranitidine , dompiridone and omeprazole) i took that medication for 4 days but not relieve the pain..what should i do? and i want to know what is this? why i feel this things :(
Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic. I can understand your concern. You are having dysphagia (pain on swallowing). Common causes for this are esophageal spasm, ulceration, reflux disease, achalasia cardia, esophagitis, mass like lesion in esophagus etc. But at your age of 26 years, possibility of spasm, ulceration and reflux disease is more. Since you are not improving with reflux medicines, I would suggest you to consult gastroenterologist and get done upper GI scopy to rule out spasm and ulceration. So better to first diagnose yourself and then start appropriate treatment. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
