Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had a couple of bouts of slights stabs in my heart region last night, one about 9 pm (took 1 baby aspirin) and another when I went to bed about 10:30 (took 2 regular aspirin). The pain was enough to keep me from getting to sleep, but went away with aspirin. I have been eating more salt than usual and hope I just need to cut back the salt, Otherwise, I am very healty, no high blood pressure, good weight and exercise regularly. Please advise

What Causes Chest Pain?
Hi welcome to health care magic... You have sharp stabbing pain history.... Before labelling it as muscular pain , cardiac cause should be looked for like angina or ischemic heart problem.. Your work up done with.... -Auscultation -EKG -Echo if needed -angiography only if needed -Blood pressure measurement -cardiac troponin etc... According to cause further treatment can be guided.... If no significant cardiac cause present only brufen will be enough... Take care Advise : physician consultation for examination...
