What Causes Chest Pain?

hello doctor, past a week i am getting acidity kind of pain in my chest, what happen..10 year of regular smoking &drinking habit, can you suggest me what i have to do, i am worrying kind of pleural problem in my chest ,is it so...today i had small pain in my left side bottom rib area pain..please suggest what i have to do now

I can understand your concern.
In my opinion, you are mostly having hyperacidity related chest pain.
But better to first rule out heart related chest pain because it is on left side of chest.
So first get done ecg and 2d echo.
If both are normal then no need to worry for heart diseases.
Follow these steps for acidity related chest pain.
1. Avoid hot and spicy food.
2. Avoid stress and tension.
3. Avoid large meals, instead take frequent small meals.
4. Take antacid ( pantoprazole) tablet on empty stomach.
5. Go for walking after meals.
Don't worry, you will be alright with all these.
