Hello,

Your son aged 23 years, had been having chest pain and then he had blurred vision and fainted in the bathroom. You checked his blood pressure and it was 150/82 and blood sugar 7.7. He has no past illness and is otherwise healthy. His blood glucose level is very low (hypoglycemia). Not good. The normal blood glucose range is 70-99 mg/dL before meals, and less than 140 mg/dL two hours after eating.

If you are fasting (not eating anything), your blood sugar should be below 95 mg/dL. You are suggested to give your son proper diet. Home made food cooked in less oil, before that give him some warm beverage or soup. Dehydration also causes dizziness and blurry vision. Give him adequate fluids and water to drink to compensate for sodium ad potassium imbalance in his electrolyte system.

His blood pressure is high. Since he has complained of chest pain, you are suggested to get him clinically examined by a Cardiologist. Get him Lipid function tests, blood works, urinalysis, repeat blood glucose (R/PP), stress test, ECG, Echo, etc., done to detect or rule out any developing CAD, coronary artery disease. He will be treated accordingly. In the mean time he can reduce weight if overweight and preferably take home made boiled food over oily spicy packaged junk food. He should stay away from addictions if any.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
