What Causes Chest Pains After Tooth Extraction?

I had 5 teeth surgically extracted yesterday morning around 10am. 3 of them were wisdom teeth an the other two were my top 2nd molars. I m 26 yrs. old, had general anesthesia for the procedure. I m still lightly bleeding, in pain and can t sleep. I m now having some mild chest pains. Could the chest pains be connected to this some how or is it a sign of a complication that I need emergency treatment for?

Pulmonologist 's  Response
Thanks for your question on HCM. There is usually no direct chest complication after tooth removal. But general anaesthesia can sometimes cause lung complication.
1. Some part of lung got collapsed due to impaired cilliary clearance in GA patient.
2. Physical trauma due to endotracheal tube.
3. Lung infection
Though the chances of such complications are very rare but one cannot deny the possibility.
So better to consult pulmonoloist and get done chest x ray. If this is normal than possibility of drug related gastritis is there. As pain killers and antibiotics can cause gastritis.
