What Causes Chest Pains And Swelling In Ankles After A Triple By Pass Surgery?

Following a heart attack I am in recovery after a triple by pass. After surgery I had another heart attack, and subsequently I get constant chest pains which the doctors put down to fluid near the heart and lungs. The past few days My left calf and ankle has swollen and is painful. Do I need to bother the doctors again or am I becoming neurotic?

Yes if you are bedridden especially after surgery and having swelling only in one limb, then it needs be evaluated. You will need ultrasound venous Doppler of the limb. It can be due clot in the veins which can dislodge to lungs and heart. so visit the doctor and get the investigation done to rule out clot.
