My sister's been having a lot of stress. Well here lately everything she eats goes straight through her. She is on vacation, it stopped. But the other day she suddenly felt like vomiting, she ran to the bathroom, had to lay in the floor, she was about to pass out. She felt better after 5 minutes or so. She stood up and to her surprise, her face was as white as a mountain top after a hard snow!! She's been having chest pains, her heart flutters, with pain in her chest!! Help!
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic. I can understand your concern. In my opinion, we should first rule out heart diseases like arrhythmia (rhythm disturbances in heart) because Fluttering sensations in chest, chest paid etc are common symptoms of arrhythmia. So consult doctor and get done 1. Ecg 2. 2d echo 3. Holter monitoring (24 hours continuous recording of ecg). If all these are normal then no need to worry for arrhythmia. Sometimes, stress and anxiety can also cause similar symptoms. So better to consult psychiatrist and get done counselling sessions. Try to identify stressor in her life and start working on it's solution. She may need anxiolytic drugs too. Don't worry, she will be alright. But first rule out arrhythmia. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wishing good health to your sister. Thanks.
