Hi, I m 35, female, obese, but normal cholesterol/bp/blood sugar. I m having some chest spasms on my left side that come and go. It s not deep , but feels shallow, sometimes add if it s coming from inside my breast. Can this be caused by sleeping position? I sleep on my stomach with an arm under the pillow. Is it pulling my pet muscles or causing some other strain? Thanks
Thanks for your question on HCM. Since your cardiac reports are normal, I advice you to consult pulmonologist and get done PFT (Pulmonary Function Test). Obesity can cause breathing difficulty like spasm (bronchitis). PFT will diagnose whether bronchitis present or not. If this is also normal than it must be muscle pull and mostly muscle spasm. But I still insist on weight loss.
