What Causes Chest Tightness And Breathing Problem At Night?

I went to lay down to go to sleep tonight. After about ten minutes of laying there I felt like someone was sqeezing my throat. Not enough to stop air flow but enough to make me focus on my breathing. The tightness went into my chest. i have a dull pain from center chest to lower chest. i am light headed also. My jaw hurts and i feel like I may pass out. My left shoulder hurts but it has been bothering me all day. This has been going on for about an hour now. My legs have had some pain but feel numb. What should I do.

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
By your history and description, we should definitely rule out heart diseases like heart failure or angina first.
So immediately consult doctor and get done
1. Blood pressure monitoring
2. Ecg
3. 2d echo
4. Stress test (trade mill test).
If all these are normal then no need to worry for heart diseases.
Sometimes uncontrolled stress and anxiety can also cause similar symptoms.
So better to avoid stress and tension, be relax and calm.
Don't worry, you will be alright. But first rule out heart diseases.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
