Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been having chest tightness along ongoing headaches for the last week. The headaches calm down, and can flare with exertion. I have also had swelling in my legs, particularly on the left for over a year. Could these symptoms be connected to a single ailment perhaps?
Understanding your concern .As per your query you have chest tightness and headaches ,which is due to bacterial infection leading to strep throat along with upper respiratory tract infection. Need not to panic about it. I would suggest you to take Diphenhydramine and Dextromethorphan. You should take steam inhalation.
If condition doesn't get well then consult cardiologist for proper examination . Doctor may order ECG , TMT along with troponin t test .
Doctor may prescribe isosorbide nitrate along with betablockers , frusamide and sedative . Doctor may also refer you to chest specialist for chest infection . Hope your concern has been resolved.
