What Causes Chest Tightness In Case Of Hypertension?

I m having a feeling of tightness in my upper chest, right of center. It is discomforting to bend forward. Have hypertension which is controlled by medication. Did not take Amlodipine for the last 4 days. Took a tablet 10 minutes ago. 56 years old, smoker.

Hello welcome to HCM.
I have read your question and understand your concerns.

Tightness in the chest which is increased during bending forward without any other symptoms carries less significance unless we go for ecg or stress test.

So, my advice is even the pain is looking muscular in nature go for at least one ecg and rule out problem in heart.

For muscular pain you can do hot fomentation over local area. Local painkillers ointments are also available.
