What Causes Chest Tightness, Upper Back Pain, Dry Cough And Nasal Congestion?

Had strept throat a couple of weeks ago...was very sick in bed for about 10 days...followed by upper respiratory funk....coughing, sneezing, runny nose, but no continued fever. Was treated with 10 days of amoxicillin 850 mg 2X/day, and steroid shot. I thought I was recuperating, and returned to work, even though stamina was not there. Now, I have tightness of chest and upper back pain, with nasal congestion and dry cough, no energy and just feeling bad. Have appt schedule for 7/11/2016..should I wait until then? Problem is, I currently have no primary physician and have just used local walk-in clinic; appt is tryingg to get established with a new physician.

Ophthalmologist 's  Response
Hello,

This sounds like a respiratory infection and it is better to get some CRays of the chest along with examination done.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Harshita, Ophthalmologist
