Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
For your weakness rule out neuropathy first by physical examination and MRI scan if needed. Second liver and kidney diseases ruled out by SGPT, SGOT, urea, and creatinine test. Your electrolyte level should also be checked. Autoimmune disorder ruled out by ANA like investigation (The antinuclear antibody test).
If no cause found, then NCV (nerve conduction velocity) and EMG (electromyogram) investigation done. As per the cause, specific treatment will be provided. Consult a neurologist for examination.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Parth Goswami
