What Causes Chills Along With Fever And Appetite Loss?

I came down with chills on Saturday, Fever (102)Saturday night and swelling and redness of my ankles and shins on Sunday. No appetite, no change in bowel movements, and still have the swelling today. Took my water pills, but no effect. Dr. gave me Levoquin on Monday, but no change in systems except no more fever.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The above-stated symptom of swelling of joint could be due to arthritis condition and chances of infection is likely. It may be rheumatic fever also and for confirmation, it has to be brought to investigations. Bacterial infection may also be the cause, for symptomatic relief NSAID (Non-Steroid Anti-inflammatory Drug) can be used, like Tab Diclofenac with Paracetamol. Basic information is not given here like age and gender are not mentioned. Else, some related illness could be thought. Your detailed query will be appreciated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
